Until the baby actually gets here, the cats have been doing a good job standing in. Here’s Mackenzie helping me try out the new baby sling – bodes well for the kid that he didn’t want to get out! Of course, I don’t call him my stoner cat for nothing. And he weighs a lot more than the kid will for several months – 18.5 pounds (8.4 kg)!
And try as I might, they really do want to sleep in the bed, even when I put the changing mat upside down inside of it.
Of course, cats are much, much easier than children. They’d get annoyed with constant attention and you can leave them alone with enough food and water if you want to go away for the weekend, as we’re about to do. Stay tuned for trip pictures!
