Soon there will be updates – I’ve got a couple of albums lined up and ready to go. However, our completely and utterly incompetent internet provider cut off our service at the beginning of August and we’re still trying to get back hooked up. Until then, I’m, ahem, borrowing wireless service from some of our neighbours kind enough not to protect their networks, but it’s rather too slow and unreliable for big uploads. We’re hopeful that our service will be reconnected any day now.
But a short update – my mum was here for a flying visit in the first part of August, which was a lot of fun, and we even managed to hook up with my sister Mara who was on an even more flying visit. After Mum left, the three of us went on a little road trip to Bavaria and had a great time seeing old towns and pretty mountains and camping – we even had a short taste of summer weather, which was lovely. And now, back home, Ivo’s back at work, I’m starting Dutch classes again and trying to arrange daycare for Liam during those classes. I’m in almost the highest level there is and hope to take the highest level proficiency exam within the year. I’m also about ready to start looking for work. Liam is crawling everywhere and standing and cruising when he can find things to hold on to and really getting into everything that he can reach. Fall seems to have arrived; I’m hopeful that summer may make a comeback, but I think that’s naive optimism.
Anyway, soon there will be nice pictury updates from the summer events – they’ll be backdated, so will appear before this post.
