So, I didn’t wake up to bad news, but great news! I’m just sad I was sleeping when it was called. Not that I’m sad I was sleeping, that was necessary, but that I missed hearing it in real time. I’m so very happy that Obama has won, it gives me hope for the future of the world for the first time in a really long time. I’m still not sure we can avert any of the oncoming trainwrecks, but now I’m thinking again that it may just be possible. We’ll have to see how it goes.
But other than that good news, it was sort of a rough day. I’m pretty sure Liam’s molars are coming in and he’s not a happy boy. He was crying, and then getting to sleep for a bit, and then crying, then sleeping a bit, etc for most of the morning. In the afternoon he finally slept (for so long that I finally had to go check on him, just to be sure) and I think he’s feeling better – he was smiling and playing with me, but still was pretty clingy and cuddly and he’s still running a fever, which is a bit worrisome. But since he’s chewing on his fingers and drooling etc, I think it’s just more hurty teeth. Poor little guy.
And, he is starting to stand independently for seconds at a time!
I swear he’s grown noticeably in the last couple days. Oh, and thanks to Aunt Nancy for the outfit!
