Today I made my beloved Canon SD800IS go from this

In other words, I replaced the LCD screen, which some pointy object in my purse destroyed the week before Liam’s birth (good timing, eh?).
Although my camera has a viewfinder, I really missed seeing things on the screen. And, although I do have an older camera (obviously), the quality, while once acceptable, pales in comparison to the newer one. And, the Canon repair place here in the Netherlands quoted me close to €200 to fix it but I did it for the cost of the screen (€45 including shipping) and a new screwdriver. Go me!!!
And to celebrate, I took another picture of Ivo and Liam – but this time I could see what I was doing! I’ve done a lot of cropping and image adjustment in the last month and a half.
