I’m living in Utrecht with my husband Ivo and my son Liam, learning Dutch and looking for work doing something with sustainability. Living here feels pretty normal by now, but sometimes I still get those little jarring “I’m in a foreign country” moments. We live on the outskirts of town (still only 10-15 min cycling from the centre) and we have a guest room (yes, that’s a hint, I love visitors). The title of the blog comes from our ongoing friendly argument over at which meal pancakes (or pannenkoeken) are eaten, breakfast or dinner.
