Ivo and I hadn’t really had time to go get gifts for one another and Ivo’s family doesn’t really do anything. So we opened the few presents from my parents (in my pajamas of course) and then spent the day with Liam. We did have a tiny Christmas tree, which was lovely. <\/p>\n
I tried for a little Christmasness with dinner – we had mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce (I’d actually found fresh cranberries a month previously and frozen them – not a common thing here) along with a veggie croquette thingie and green beans, with a creme brulee for dessert. With no working oven I couldn’t do much else, even if Liam had allowed the time. I’d had delusions of doing a big Christmas dinner for the whole family, but with such time and space constraints, that’ll have to wait until next year. I actually really like cooking for people, so I’m looking forward to that. Next year we should have a bigger kitchen and enough room to seat everyone.<\/p>\n
Some pictures of the new family on Christmas.
