At the last consultatiebureau (public health office for babies and young kids) visit, he had made great gains &#8211; he had been hovering at the bottom of the Dutch growth chart, but he&#8217;s now approaching the middle, all we can really hope for since we&#8217;re pretty short here. He also finally outweighs our cat Mackenzie, but not by much. As of the 8th, he&#8217;s 8.290 kg (18.3 lbs) and 69.5 cm (27.4 in). He&#8217;s still ahead of the curve on most developmental milestones. He&#8217;s crawling, cruising along the couches and whatever else he can find to hold on to, and we&#8217;ve even seen a few brief seconds of unsupported standing. And he&#8217;s quite inquisitive and has good motor control. And he&#8217;s quite fun to be with.
