Here&#8217;s what it&#8217;s like here in our quiet neighbourhood when the New Year comes in!<\/p>\n<p><embed width=\"448\" height=\"361\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" wmode=\"transparent\" src=\"http:\/\/img.photobucket.com\/player.swf?file=http:\/\/vidmg.photobucket.com\/albums\/v187\/EcoRed\/Fireworks2009.flv\"><\/embed><\/p>\n<p>Very different from Canada, but I actually think it&#8217;s fun. Well, except the guy with with orange smoke bomb on our street &#8211; why!?!?!!? But the fireworks provide a sense of ceremony and closure for the old year and celebration of the new year, and they are fun to watch. Even if it&#8217;s freezing and your hand has to be surgically removed from the sparkling wine glass afterwards.
