{"id":599,"date":"2009-08-16T21:29:57","date_gmt":"2009-08-16T20:29:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/copperlioness.com\/pannencakes\/?p=599"},"modified":"2009-10-13T00:30:33","modified_gmt":"2009-10-12T23:30:33","slug":"open-air-museum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/copperlioness.com\/pannencakes\/2009\/08\/open-air-museum\/","title":{"rendered":"Open Air Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/National_Heritage_Museum,_Arnhem\">Openluchtmuseum<\/a> (literally &#8220;Open Air Museum&#8221;) is a collection of restored historic buildings, staffed by people in traditional costumes. They do traditional crafts (and naturally, sell the products) and have activities for the kids. But mostly, it&#8217;s just a very pleasant place to walk around in the open air, with interesting things to see.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;d been meaning to get there for awhile &#8211; we bought these museum year cards (free entrance to many museums for only \u20ac35 for the year &#8211; 3-4 museums and your making money) when A was here in the spring, but haven&#8217;t used them too much. The cards also help because you can go to something like this for a couple hours in the afternoon and not feel like you&#8217;ve wasted time the way you would if you&#8217;d spent \u20ac14 each to be there. <\/p>\n<p>We had a lovely afternoon wandering among the buildings and letting Liam play in the playground.
