Füssen, at the end of the Romantische Straße. The history of Füssen had a funny line that could only appear in Europe: "Wars: Füssen has witnessed almost all the wars in modern times with the exception of the two World Wars." Hmm, I would have thought those were the wars of modern times, not the wars from 1525 to the Napoleonic wars that they go on to mention.
